Elixir stack detection and build support in stackbuild — mix projects, releases, and the Phoenix asset pipeline.

Demand signal

CargoSense (Bruce Williams) on the Sep 14, 2026 call: they are primarily an Elixir shop — ~15 engineers, a 14-year-old core Elixir application plus a couple of Rails apps, under 20 services. Elixir stack support is table stakes for them evaluating Miren at all.

Confirmed on the call that the runtime side already works: Miren natively supports WebSockets and BEAM distribution for Elixir/Phoenix. stackbuild is the remaining gap.

Also relevant: Bruce plans to kick the tires in a home lab, possibly with a Gleam project — worth knowing whether the BEAM stack detection generalizes past mix.
